At Spotland Community Association, we are committed to helping local people take positive and practical steps towards meaningful and sustainable employment. Our Employment Support programme offers friendly, personalised support for anyone who would like to improve their job prospects, develop new skills or gain confidence in the job market.

We welcome people who are just starting their careers, returning to work after a break, changing direction, or finding their job search challenging.

• One-to-one guidance to help you create or improve your CV, highlight your strengths and present your experience clearly to potential employers.
• Job searching and application support
• Practical help with finding suitable vacancies, understanding job descriptions and completing application forms online or on paper.
• Interview preparation
• Support with interview techniques, building confidence, answering common questions and preparing for face-to-face or telephone interviews.
• Weekly job updates
• Regular access to an up-to-date noticeboard featuring local vacancies, training opportunities and employment support services.
